A potential breakthrough was reported on Wednesday, as an experimental drug may prove to be an effective treatment for Covid-19.It’s called Remdesivir, and preliminary trials show it cuts the recovery time from 15 to 11 days. After an initial test of 1,000 patients with severe Covid-19 from across the globe, some were treated with the drug by IV and recovered more quickly and fewer died, than those who were given a placebo.
